ULUN DANU BERATAN TEMPLE
The most interesting thing about Lake Bratan is the great temple of Pura Ulun Danu Bratan, located in the northwestern part of the lake. It was built in 1634 in honor of the goddess of water and fertility, "Dewi Danu." This lake covers the bottom of a volcanic crater and constitutes a source of irrigation for the southern part of the island.
