Tirta Gangga Karangasem Park Complex previously destroyed by the eruption of Mount Agung in 1963. Karangasem district government rebuilds this park and allots it to tourist areas. Additionally, the name of the Tirta Gangga tourist attraction comes from the words Tirta, which means holy water, and Gangga, which means the name of a river in India. The construction itself began in early 1946 by the king of Karangasem.
